Eligibility Criteria:
Education Qualification:
- Category I: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- Must have a full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation & Control).
- The diploma should be awarded by a recognized State Council, Board of Technical Education, University, or institution recognized by the State or Central Government.
- Category II: Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:
- A full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or other fields such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, BBM, or BCA.
- The degree must be from a Statutory or Deemed University, approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Medical Standard:
Must meet the physical standards specified under Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, with any applicable amendments.
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via their registered email ID and must attend certificate verification at IOCL Chennai.
Training:
One year as per the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973.
