North Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2024

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of North Central Railway has announced 1,679 Apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act 1961. This recruitment drive is open for various trades including Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Mechanic, and more, across divisions like Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi. Candidates holding a 10th pass and ITI certificate in the relevant trade can apply. The application window is open from September 16, 2024, to October 15, 2024. Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training and receive a stipend as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

>> Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed 10th standard or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Must have an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
• Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible to apply.

>> Technical Qualification:

• ITI certificate in relevant trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, etc., as per the trade they are applying for.

Documents Required:

• SSC / 10th Class Marksheet and Certificate.
• ITI certificate and mark sheets for all semesters.
• Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC (if applicable).
• PwBD certificate (if applicable).
• Recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.

Document Verification:

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. All original documents must be presented during the process.

Medical Standard:

• Candidates must be medically fit to undergo the apprenticeship training.
• A medical fitness certificate from a Government-authorized doctor will be required at the time of document verification.

Selection Process:

• Selection is based on a merit list, which will be prepared using the average percentage of marks obtained in both 10th standard and ITI.
• In case of a tie, the older candidate will be preferred. If age is the same, the candidate who passed the 10th class earlier will be selected.
• No written exam or interview will be conducted.

Training:

The apprenticeship training period is one year. Upon successful completion, a Certificate of Proficiency will be issued by the National Council.

Training will be conducted at various divisions and workshops under North Central Railway, including:

• Prayagraj Division
• Agra Division
• Jhansi Division
• Jhansi Workshop
