Eligibility Criteria:
>> Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation / SSLC (10th Pass) with ITI from an NCVT / SCVT-recognized institution in the relevant trade.
- Alternatively, candidates with a 10+2 qualification in Physics and Mathematics can also apply for select trades.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in relevant technical trades such as Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, etc.
- Understanding of safety protocols and equipment handling.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations in their assigned technical trade.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and efficient functioning of railway operations.
Documents Required:
- Matriculation / SSLC certificate
- ITI certificate or 10+2 Physics and Mathematics certificate
- Recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC (if applicable).
- Disability certificate for PwBD (if applicable).
Document Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification after passing the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- All original certificates must be produced during document verification.
Medical Standard:
Candidates must meet the medical standards required for Technician Grade III as per the Indian Railways medical manual, which includes vision and physical fitness criteria.
Selection Process:
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Stage 2: Document Verification.
- Stage 3: Medical Examination.
Training:
Selected candidates will undergo training as per the rules of Indian Railways for their respective trade. Post-training, they will be appointed to various railway divisions or workshops.
Place of Posting / Training:
Selected candidates will be posted at Indian Railways across multiple zones and workshops, including divisions in Western Railways (WR), Southern Railways (SR), Central Railways (CR), North Eastern Railways (NER), etc.
Examination Date & Centers:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted at various centers across India, tentatively scheduled for November 2024.
